Our Brighton based client is currently looking for a strong Full Stack Developer (PHP and JavaScript skills) to join them on an initial 3 month contract. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to take on a range of hard and intriguing challenges. You’ll be helping shape the technical implementation of my client’s product, and ensuring what they produce meets the level of quality they aspire to. This is a great opportunity to help shape a team whose delivery will have a major influence in the industry sector, and be seen by a huge audience.

Key Accountabilities:

• To build object-orientated applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• To advise Product Managers and Project managers technically
• To provide time and resource estimates to assist in the planning of projects
• Learn new technologies and be able to apply these to projects as applicable

 

Essential Skills:

• PHP 5 development skills with at least one of the following, Zend, Symfony, Silex, Laravel.
• Unit testing with PHPUnit
• Strong front-end web development skills – HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/JQuery
• Understanding of AngularJS/BackboneJS
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Version control systems (Subversion, Git)
